Linoleic acid is the main dietary form of n-6 essential fatty acids (EFA)and its lipid metabolites are known to mediate several infammatory pathways
in asthma. Linoleic acid (LA) (C18:2) has 18 carbon atoms in its chain, presenting with two C=C bonds, and is a member of a well-known series of n-6
PUFAs that is a precursor for arachidonic acid. Linoleic acid,
a poly-unsaturated fatty acid, is the major content of the sesame oil. Linoleic acid is now universally recognized to be an essential nutrient.
Linoleic acid present in rice and pulse may be readily available.
Linoleic acid (LA; 18:2 n-6), the most abundant polyunsaturated fatty acid in the US diet, is a precursor to oxidized metabolites that have unknown
roles in the brain.
linoleicacid(LA) playacriticalroleinthegrowthand development of in fants and young children.
Linoleic acid (LA) is known to activate G-protein coupled receptors and connexin hemichannels (Cx HCs).
Linoleic acid (LA) is the most abundant PUFA in mammals. The effect of linoleic acid (LA) on health is still controversial. LA is one of the two essential fatty
acids, which means dietary supplementation of LA is necessary for maintaining cell activity. LA might enhance the incidence of some types of cancers via
stimulation of epithelial cell proliferation.
Linoleic acid (LA) is the major fatty acid in occidental diets. It is an essential omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA), which is able to be
converted to arachidonic acid(AA).
Linoleic acid is the most abundant fatty acid present in plasma, and oxidation products of linoleic acid have been demonstrated to be highly stable
in biological samples, making them suitable markers for studying lipid peroxidation.
Linoleic acid (LA) is an important dietary fatty acid and a major component in many HF diets or the lipids that have been used to induce apoA-IV production.
